Take the opportunity to broaden your horizons on The Collingwood Art Crawl (www.collingwoodartcrawl.com ) on Saturday September 23rd. A free, self-guided tour of more than 40 of Collingwood’s arts venues, highlighting over 100 artists, the Art Crawl features an exciting list of scheduled events dubbed “Art Crawl Unmissables”. Add to that some fantastic live music and samplings of food and beverages at each location on the tour and it’s sure to be an enjoyable evening of culture, creativity and inspiration.
Art Crawl Unmissable #1: Battle of the Brushes

A live competitive art event! What can an artist create in just 20 minutes? Come out and see for yourself! Cheer on your favourite painter and feel free to make an offer to purchase your favourite piece when the show is done.
Art Crawl Unmissable #2: Stained Glass Windows (And So Much More!)
All Saints Anglican Church, 32 Elgin Street, 6-10pm
Love the beauty of stained glass windows and architecture? This visit to one of Collingwood’s oldest churches will not disappoint. With live music by Keiko Yoden-Kuepher, Susan Connolly, Cantorum and others. Visit the parish hall to see an exhibit of local artists around the theme of “compassion for all aspects of our world—people, animals and the environment”, featuring Leah DenBok and her photography project ‘The Homeless’.

A rare opportunity to watch acclaimed glassblower Kate Civiero of Infinite Glassworks in Eugenia in action! “Uniting design and function, Infinite Glassworks combines vibrant colours and fluid shapes in their signature handblown glassware and jewellery”.

Described by the artist as “a walk into the past, a stroll through one of the most historic buildings in the area — the Collingwood Terminals. Art Crawl Unmissable #7: Franny Wisp and Her Washboard

“Franny Wisp & Her Washboard is a unique, quirky and sometimes self-deprecating response to a society that is preoccupied with youth, beauty, success and romantic relationships”. Expressing satire and wit through song, spoken word and wicked washboard rhythms, the show takes on the challenging topics of relationships, insecurity, aging, sex and dating head on.

Collingwood Circus Club specializes in teaching aerial and ground circus arts to all ages and levels (from ages 3 to adult). Year-round programs are offered, as well as camps, group parties, workshops and private lessons.
