Blue Mountain Apple Harvest Festival    October 7-9

Celebrate the harvest in Ontario’s largest apple growing region this Thanksgiving at Blue Moutain’s Apple Harvest Festival!  Experience the glorious fall colours, the charm of local villages, live music and performances, more outdoor activities than you can count…and if you make some stops along the Apple Pie Trail, delicious seasonal treats!!

Looking for some great activities to fill the weekend?  Look no further!

Anyone looking for a little outdoor adventure should find just what they’re looking for at Blue Mountain Village.  Whether it’s a gondola ride, a hike up the ski hills to view spectacular Georgian Bay, a Scenic Caves adventure or one of the many other options provided by Blue, you’re sure to have a wonderful time!  (https://www.bluemountain.ca/things-to-do/activities)

If it’s something a little more quiet and relaxed that you’re looking for, consider a visit to one of the amazing spas at Blue.  Scandinave Spa (https://www.scandinave.com/blue-mountain/en/) offers “relaxation in the heart of nature” and a wide variety of services and treatments.  Kalola Spa (http://kalolaspa.ca/) prides itself on embracing the simplicity of nature in both the treatments and the atmosphere they provide.  For the yogis among us, iwa Spa (https://iwaspa.com/) is the place to visit.  With a focus on Gan-ban Volcanic Rock Therapy, restorative yoga and massage, you’re sure to leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.

And for the foodies?  Don’t miss the Apple Pie Trail (https://www.applepietrail.com/) or a tour of local craft breweries and cider houses!  The Apple Pie Trail is an award winning program that takes you on a scenic tour through the heart of apple growing country highlighting culinary, shopping, food market and other local experiences, not to mention lots of opportunities to sample some delicious treats and fresh produce.  If you’re looking for something a little different, consider taking a tour of some of the local breweries and cideries.  Collingwood itself has 4 that are within driving distance of each other, the Side Launch Brewing Company (https://www.sidelaunchbrewing.com/) , the Collingwood Brewery(http://www.thecollingwoodbrewery.com/) , Northwinds Brewhouse and Eatery (http://northwindsbrewery.com/brewery/) and Creemore Springs (http://www.creemoresprings.com/en/index).  If you’d like to stick to the theme and visit Apple Cider Houses, again there are 4 that would make up a nice tour of the area: Thornbury Village Cider (http://thornburycraft.com/cider-house/), Beaver Valley Orchard and Cidery (http://bvcider.ca/), Coffin Ridge (https://www.coffinridge.ca/) and Georgian Hills Vineyard (http://www.georgianhillsvineyards.ca/premium-cider/).  Plan to enjoy a sample at each of these fine establishments?  Why not line up a designated driver and tour guide all in one and enjoy a ride on the Beer Bus (https://www.thebeerbus.ca/bluemountain)?  Tours can include stops at local breweries, cideries and wineries, all you have to do is choose where you’d like to go!

If you’d like to stay in the area there’s no better way to be in the heart of the action than to stay at one of the facilities at beautiful Blue Mountain Resort.  (https://www.bluemountain.ca/plan-your-trip/lodging
